Introducing the New Diamond Finish
We are thrilled to unveil our latest innovation: Diamond Finish, a high-performance paint formula for our popular Midnight Black colour. Launched in celebration of our 75th anniversary in 2023, Diamond Finish offers superior scuff resistance in a single-component coating eliminating the need for pre-mixing and the application challenges associated with comparable industry products.
Designed to appeal to contemporary aesthetics this new formula provides a robust solution for builders and contractors aiming to minimize marking issues during construction.
“With the popularity of dark windows and door colours in new construction, many of our builder clients have expressed concerns over the need for careful handling of products on the jobsite and darker colours tend to show more when it comes to scuffing from handling. The performance of the new finish has been well received by our builder customers. It’s premium in that it’s a more costly finish for us, but we’ve made it part of our standard offering due to its enhanced durability and aesthetic appeal,” explains Alexandra Josling, our new construction sales manager.
As far as the look goes, “the difference is best described as more of a fine texture than a matte finish,” Josling says. “The sheen can be compared to the difference between semi-gloss paint and eggshell.”
Later this year, we will be expanding our Diamond Finish range to include additional standard colours such as Charcoal, Flagstone, Mist Blue, Wedgewood Blue, Ivy Green, Forest Green, Hunter Green, Commercial Brown, Chestnut Brown, Terracotta Red, Cranberry Red, Cashmere, Khaki, Brownstone and the new Iron Ore.
